Very weird. Am I understanding correctly?
1. To reproduce the bug, plug the DVD player into the USB/SATA adaptor,
which is connected to the PCI card with extra USB slots, which is
connected to the motherboard. The BIOS is not able to boot from
such disks.
The problem only occurs if the disc is in the DVD player at boot
time.
2. It happens reliably with linux-image-2.6.32-5-amd64 2.6.32-23.
3. It happens sometimes, but not always, with
linux-image-2.6.36-rc6-1-amd64 2.6.36~rc6-1~experimental.1.
4. It reliably does not happen with linux-image-2.6.32-5-686
2.6.32-23.
Is that right? What happens with current squeeze and sid kernels?
