Package: linux-image-2.6.26-1-openvz-686
Version: 2.6.26-13
Severity: normal

Hello the hurd,

I experience a weird trouble with Debian sid prepackaged kernels:

While (almost) all is fine with my linux-image-2.6.26-1-686 package,
I have trouble with it's openvz-enabled counterpart
linux-image-2.6.26-1-openvz-686 : the latter does NOT recognize my
keyboard (quite standard, usually handled by atkbd.c), nor it handles
ACPI correctly : In the ultimate step of rebooting or shutting down
my PC, the kernel just stops with indicating what it is about to
do (reboot or shutdown) but nothing really happens.

Furthermore, not only my keyboard seems dead (with not even SysReq
keys functionning), but, likewise, my touchpad seems dead too.
It behaves like both (keyboard and touchpad) were not power supplied.

I join a few attachments to help you understand what's wrong :

For both kernel I join its config file, its dmesg output, and a
time-stripped version of its dmesg output.

I also join lspci output, s2ram output (for machine identification),
and a diff of my 2 kernels' config and time-stripped dmesg output.

P.S. 1 : lspci output and s2ram output were obtained under non-openvz kernel.
P.S. 2 : In file names, 'STD' means 'non-openvz' kernel,
                  while 'OVZ' means 'openvz-enabled' kernel.

Thus, you will find the following files in attachment:

-r--r--r-- 1 root root 6648 Jan 26 10:59 DIFF_dmesg_TimeStripped.txt

-r--r--r-- 1 root root 333 Jan 26 11:04 s2ram.txt

But for practical reasons, I tarball them all as:

attachments.tar.gz

In hope my report will prove useful.

Sincerely,
Valentin QUEQUET
