Package: linux-image-2.6-486 Version: 2.6.39-3~bpo60+1 Severity: normal Tags: patch Kernel does not provide the af_alg module. The .config file should contain the following values: CONFIG_CRYPTO_USER_API=m CONFIG_CRYPTO_USER_API_HASH=m CONFIG_CRYPTO_USER_API_SKCIPHER=m These two options enables the user-spaces interface for hash and symmetric key cipher algorithms. Kernel 2.6.38 introduced an API to access the kernel crypto API from userspace. While there was a port of BSD's cryptodev for linux which basically provides the same functionality, the cryptodev code never made it into the mainline of the kernel. Version: 3.0.0~rc1-1~experimental.1 Already fixed. I suggest you don't use the backports kernel packages as they are outdated and have no security support. Ben. -- Ben Hutchings 73.46% of all statistics are made up.Attachment: signature.asc
