Bug#640222: nfs-common: init script failure during installation, leaving package half-configured

It was with this same problem. The same error.

I think the alert log messages about the error, because, I believe, has to do with the Loopback or other network configuration. To be sure, run:

# Tail-f / var / log / messages

Leave this terminal open and try to reinstall on another terminal portmap, nfs-common and finally, nfs-kernel-server.

By the time the installation fails the log will probably show a message. In my case, who had installed rpcbind, the error was as follows:

rpcbind: server localhost not responding, timed out

then checked in / etc / network / interfaces that the loopback was disabled (#)

After repairing it, the packages were installed normally.

Check your log, it will probably help you. I'm currently using the portmap and without errors.

I saw that many people have gone through this Web posted something and no one could solve. If this post help you solve the answer.
