The problem reappears with bittorrent downloading and laptop is frozen and the clock drifts.

I'm searching for the nfsd issue, maybe is libata related ( my laptop has a buggy BIOS and therefore HPA is detected ).

Ok --- testing with cpufrequtils from sid (unless cpufrequtils is not
installed) would still be useful to have a reasonable comparison to
the kernel from squeeze.  Bug#637395 and [1] have details.
