 ... and closing the bugreport whilst i'm in the middle of
investigating isn't insulting?  if i didn't feel insulted by what
you'd done, you would not have got the reaction that you did, would
you?

 actually i didn't feel "insulted" because i... well, i just don't.
perhaps i should, yes?  perhaps i should go through the "i have been
offended!  thou hast ruinned my pride and my ego, sah!  i demand a
challenge, *slap*, there, that is my glove on your face, sah!" phase
and then people wouldn't think i was being a tit for skipping over
those steps and just describing their actions as being massively
unhelpful.
