I agree that the problem lies with the routers, since they shouldn't
break the network operation whatever a connected client does or doesnt.
However, if a lot of devices have that problem, it's at least worth
investigating it, and finding a way to avoid system breakdowns until the
router firmwares are fixed.
As said, with mine it helps to limit the networking speed to WLAN-g.
Clearly, it's not a debian problem at least.
