It is not clear to me that it is certain that the problem is with the
Netgear router, why can't it be a problem with the recently updated
kernel?  I suggest that it is premature to close this bug without any
investigation unless it can be shown the changes in the kernel cannot be
the cause of the problem.

I have posted to the Netgear fora to raise the issue there.  This may
help in finding some resource to investigate the issue.
