You obviusly still did not read the bugzilla entry about this bug.

It mentions such nice things like:

[  361.230737] INFO: task jbd2/sda2-8:311 blocked for more than 120 seconds.

I have the same here with devicemapper tasks.

So what you want to tell me is that due to a programming error in
userspace it is okay that the kernel will be stuck completely, rejecting
all IO, without ever being able to recover at all?

If upstream shares your opinion on that it is time to switch to a
different OS.
