Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.37-2
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream patch sid

I found a list of USB_IDs already that have this problem and the solution in the kernel I am using is to do the following
ep->max_transfer = 4;

I've reported this upstream to alsa in
https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=5307

I've had to recompile my kernel locally for this to work.
Not sure if this applies to alsa or linux-2.6 in debian.
Patch is attached.
