Hi,

We run Debian on a Dell PowerEdge R710 server with 32GB of memory. The server is used as a KVM host and is running 4 virtual machines. I've configured 15395 hugepages for use by the virtual machines, which should leave about 1GB for the host.

The disks of the virtual machines are LUNs on an iSCSI storage.

We are having frequent crashes of this system. Sometimes twice a week, sometimes no crash for weeks. The host system crashes and usually the console doesn't show any information. I configured a serial console to be able to capture the crash and this has provided me with the following information:

We've seen the "do_IRQ: 1.238 No irq handler for vector (irq -1)" lines before but they don't always result in a crash. I tried adding the pci=nomsi,noaer to the kernel command line but this doesn't make them go away.

I can provide all kernel messages from startup to crash if that would help.

Is this a kernel bug, or did we misconfigure something?
