Bug#620201: linux-image-2.6.38-1-amd64: Kernel panic with enabled RPS on a highly loaded LVS

It's a highly loaded LVS box in a DR setup (total incoming traffic is over
120Kpkts/s) which has been upgraded from Etch (with custom built
kernel 2.6.24.2) to Squeeze (with kernel 2.6.38-1 built from Sid). After a
half day it died with a kernel panic:

The server had more than one year uptime with Etch/2.6.24.2.


The kernel:

The kernel built with dpkg-buildpackage from the Debian Sid source package
(http://packages.debian.org/source/sid/linux-2.6) with Debian's default
configuration on this clean Squeeze system. All Debian patches applied.

Before the building I applied the lightweight "forward_shared-2.6.37-2.diff"
patch from Julian Anastasov (and I bumped the version to -1.1~magex).
forward_shared is enabled (by default) on all interfaces.

I think the problem isn't depend on the small forward_shared patch.

eth0 - public interface
 some LVS service with DR, ~100Kpkts/s
eth1 - DMZ interface, enslaved to br0
 (br0 contains only this one interface)
 some LVS service also with DR, ~20Kpkts/s

I've some stateful firewall and NAT rules in netfilter
