Hi, I have the same problem, and I try over 2.6.38-2-amd64 and 2.6.32-5-amd64. You can read the output of alsa-info.sh here: 2.6.38-2 http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=87fb706aeab756b9c0a5fd226deef94399ce496a I'm only loading, as you can read, 'model=dell-bios power_save=10 power_save_controller=N' over the module. This option works fine for me some kernel's ago.
