Further experiments show that this bug happens only with nvidia and 
kernel 2.6.37 or newer, it does not happen with nouveau.

I tried to test on squeeze (older Xorg), but the kernel module won't 
compile on 2.6.38 from unstable.

acpi_listen is silent as long as I'm in X, but will react to key presses 
even if I only switch to the console with Ctrl+Alt+F1.

Please ask if you need more info, this bug is very annoying for me.
