Hi,

Could syn cookies be enabled by default?

AFAIK syn cookies only get send when the half-open TCP connection queue is full. So stuff like window scaling should work fine in normal situations.

SYN cookies have been enabled by default since 2.6.37.  This was an
upstream change, following enhancements to SYN cookies that addressed
the problems they used to have.

The default will not be changed in 'squeeze'.
