Package: linux-image-2.6.24-1-686
Version: 2.6.24-2
Severity: normal

With the upgrade to linux-image-2.6.24-1-686, sound no onger works on this
machine. Strting KDE gives me the artsmessage "Error while initializing the
sound driver:
device /dev/dsp can't be opened (No such file or directory)"
It does work properly with the previous kernels, including 2.6.22-3-686.

As explained previously, we removed the firmware for this device because
the licence does not allow us to distribute it. It is labelled as
licenced under the GPLv2, but since no source code is provided we cannot
fulfil the terms of that licence. Closing the bug, as it cannot be
fixed.
