Hello:
I've also came across this crash. I identified quite well that it was being
triggered by sid powertop (1.97-1), ie this doesn't happen when using squeeze
powertop. I suspect it's somehow related to "Runtime PM for PCI Device ...."
options.
According to the backtrace, it's a kernel drm bug, this piece of code is
complicated enough to not be trivial to debug and fix.
Latest kernel I checked this problem existed was on my custom build
2.6.37.2. I think it's doesn't happen exactly the same on 2.6.37.3, this is, I
didn't had the crash in the 2 tests I did, but I found that there was some
corruption somewhere in the graphics stack, not sure where, because I found
the X behaviour flaky after my tests.
Maybe the problem is fixed on 2.6.38. A RC of this kernel is already
available in experimental, any volunteers? ;)
