>on my laptop. I using pm-hibernate from pm-utils (on top of uswsusp). I think this bug related
Not sure if this is the same Problem or something different. lspci says
here:
|00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller (rev 03)
During resume I see Tux sleeping in a "small" resolution. Once the
progress bar is at 100% the resolution changes to whatever I use and I
still see Tux but this time it does not fill the screen anymore. A few
seconds after that the screen gets black due to xscreensaver (Yes I use
X). This was the case until 2.6.32-29. Since 2.6.32-30 tux does not
disapear and I can't enter X. I still see tux and my X mouse cursor
moves within this image. Changing the terminal does not really work: I
get to the framebuffer (CTRL+ALT+F1) but the tux image is still there.
Switching back to X does not change a thing (it is still black).
Executing
xrandr -d :0.0 -q
makes the TuX image disappear however I still can't access my X session.
The only thing that works so far is killing X and restart it.
This is a regression since 2.6.32-29 (installing it fixes the problem).
Now, I rebuilt v2.6.32-30 and the only change made I was:
* drop drm/i915: Free hardware status page on unload when physically mapped.
* drop drm/i915/overlay: Ensure that the reg_bo is in the GTT prior to writing.
Both of them were by maximilian so that is why you end up in To: :) Any
idea how we fix this?
Sebastian
