Yes I am unfortunately aware of that. Keep in mind that several sparcs
will not be able to boot at all. Specifically any sparc that has an ati
card on board (and there are tons out there since ati is the preferred
chipset for sparc video cards).

Indeed. At least a release note to mention that there is a fix on the
way for the next update.
I already noted in the bug that all the patches I used to make the
Debian fix are upstream.
