Bug#597034: linux-image-2.6.32-5-amd64: broadcom-sta wireless driver fails to detect interface after upgrade

Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.32-22
Severity: normal

After upgrading to 2.6.32-22, the "wl.ko" driver from broadcom-sta package
fails to detect my Broadcom BCM43224 wireless interface, i.e. no entry
appears in "iwconfig" result.

My device:

 # lspci | grep -i network
 03:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM43224 802.11a/b/g/n (rev 01)
 # iwconfig
 lo no wireless extensions.

 eth0 no wireless extensions.

(Normally, eth1 should be found with wireless extension here.)

Rebuilding the broadcom-sta module with module-assistant doesn't help.
Downgrading to 2.6.32-21 does make it work again.
