Bug#580705: linux-image-2.6.32-5-686: crash while playing movie

Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.32-12
Severity: normal
Tags: sid

While playing movie in VLC my ThingPad freeze. There was short "beep"
after which screen freeze. I still have sound (I can continue movie,
but only listening it) and working keyboard. So switch to tty1 and
emergency reboot was only solution.

I'm not so shure that this is kernel related or something else, but in
/var/log/syslog there is folowing messages:

I suffer from random crashes and trying to locate and avoid them. Any
help is welcome. I can do some tests if needed.

I'm not a kernel hacker, just a regular user, so please excuse me if I
post bug report to wrong package.

best regards
Kamen
