Bug#573483: linux-kbuild-2.6: please upload 2.6.37-rc7 to experimental
Hello,
(please upload 2.6.37-rc7 to experimental)
seems to be a recurrent issue : linux-headers from latest kernels in
experimental are never installable because they need a version of linux-kbuild
in sync ...
for people who need to build their own modules, and need a recent version of
the kernel, that's a pain because module-assistant won't work, and using
debian kernels becomes quite difficult.
for exemple these versions are concerned now :
linux-headers-2.6.37-rc5
linux-headers-2.6.37-rc7
how can it be possible to find a durable solution for this ? request a new
version of linux-kbuild for each upload of a new kernel ? modify dependencies
of linux-headers package so that they can use older linux-kbuild (if it is
possible?) ?
Thanks for your work,
cheers,
