many thanks. This patch fixes the oops (for me).
But there seems to be some other problems related to xen, as these problems 
doesn't occure with the bigmem flavor.
The System hangs (until pressing some keys) in /etc/rcS.d/S03udev (see 
attached screenshot). This problem seems happen since I switched over to the 
backports kernel some time ago.
