Can you confirm that this is a correct summary of your test results:

Ubuntu 9.10 (Linux 2.6.31)          OK
Debian testing (Linux 2.6.32)       bad
Ubuntu 10.10 (Linux 2.6.34)         bad
Ubuntu 10.10 with kernel from 9.10  OK

Also, which application are you using as the power meter?
