I can't see any changes to radeon between 2.6.33 and 2.6.36 that are obviously related to this. Could you test some of the intermediate versions (2.6.34, 2.6.35) from <http://snapshot.debian.org/package/linux-2.6/> so that we have a smaller number of changes to look through?
