It's a daily built from 23. Aug 2010. Is this too old in this meaning?
I can try a daily built from today if that makes a difference.

ata_generic is also not in the initramfs.

At this point, there is no device under /dev for the harddisc
(no oldstyle name like /dev/hda, no uuid name).
