Package: nfs-kernel-server
Version: 1:1.1.2-6lenny1
Severity: important

In this server nfs have been working perfectly one year and half. However,
lately we have have some serious issues with the nfs. Simply, the service
stop and the _only_ way to repair the service is restarting the service.

In the logs the only reference that we have is:

orion mountd[4905]: couldn't open /var/lib/nfs/etab

It's a bit annoying because our little network depends on that service.

Regards,

Leo

Based on this log, you seem to be using a different version of
inotifywait, but in any case it looks like something deleted
/var/lib/nfs. nfs-kernel-server does not contain any code that will do
this. Therefore I'm afraid this is a local problem that I can't help
with. As I suggested before, auditd may help you to track it down.

Ben.
