hello,

I think that x86_64 kernels should at least recommend ia32-libs. If this 
is not installed, a lot of packages are not working as expected.

No, ia32-libs is a dirty hack and not needed on most amd64 systems. For
the apps which require ia32-libs this is typically mentioned in the
HOWTOs or the packaging.
