Package: initramfs-tools
Version: 0.94.4
Severity: normal

Hi,

my pc got 2 ide controller (via82cxxx and siimage).
via82cxxx should be probed first in order that /dev/hdb3 is my root fs.

But sometimes siimage is probed first and my rootfs got /dev/hdf3, and
boot hangs.

Could it be possible to make the ide probe order determinist ?

Matthieu

not an initramfs bug, just use UUID

outdated with newre one, you'll get a switch to libata based
drivers and you have the possibility of automatic conversion
of relevant config files.
