Bug#579694: Driver reissued
Hello. It turns out there are big problems .... there is a new realtek driver availble today:
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=48&PFid=48&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false&Downloads=true#RTL8192SU
]
Inside it we read that
Firmware Version:
Firmware is embedded in the RTL8712 USB driver.
The firmware version of this release is SVN231
Which of course I cannot find.
What I did is now ended up needing to use the Microsoft operating system to write you this message.
I can use Debian, but my antenna does not work.
It does but with tons of errors and only a few bytes, not kilobytes getting thru.
I am totally dependent on hoping the debs will be available, I will be told the correct URLs for them, I will download them to USB, and then dpkg -i them
back on Debian... Else I am out of business as far as Linux is concenred.
Can somebody please get the Firmware into a new firmware-realtek package.
And also make a new linux-image package.
Thank you very much.
[And email me that they are availble as I cannot do apt-get update etc. anymore.]
Thanks.
