I see two problems in each of the bug reports: 1. $label_len is not initialised properly. This is a real bug in the postinst script, and a fix for it is pending. 2. dosfslabel detected a broken filesystem and so failed to set the label. Please check that the filesystems linux-base proposed to relabel are valid. You might need to purge it in order to go through the upgrade questions again.
