Hi, I added vga=ext to my boot parameters, and with that my system boots fine (although not in the usual vga=ext 50 lines vga mode, but it DOES activate my i915 framebuffer?!? it's definitely running the native 1440x900 resolution of my screen.) Maybe this prevents efifb from running (or resets the video after GRUB?), and thus allows i915 to get the video device properly? Regards, Erich
