Package: linux-image-2.6.26-2-amd64
Version: 2.6.26-19lenny1
Severity: important

I'm using an Asus A8V motherboard, which has an onboard VIA VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller (not sure, just
picket it from lspci). I updated my kernel to 2.6.30-bpo.2-amd64, from lenny-backports, so I could have ext4 support
for my fresh hard disk drive; but after the update, any audio was barely audible, even after raising the volume with
alsamixer. The problem is also present in version 2.6.30-2-amd64 from the testing repository. I'mt back to the
previous 2.6.26-2 kernel at the moment, but I can easily reproduce the steps if needed. Regards.
