There is a patch for similar symptoms that went into 2.6.30.1
(included in 2.6.30-2), so sounds like you're seeing a different
issue.

You might want to try reporting this upstream. There's a section on
this here.

That page also describes other ways you can help narrow down the
issue, which would presumably make it easier for upstream to find/fix
the problem.
