I looked at the build log from the autobuilder, and it shows the patch
being applied. I looked at the patch itself and it looks correct, and
I took a look at the unpacked source from linux-source-2.6.26
2.6.26-17, and it contains the fix.

Only suggestion I can come up with is to make sure your initrd has
been properly regenerated by running:
 mkinitramfs -o /boot/initrd.img-2.6.26-2-s390 2.6.26-2-s390
