*nod* - I can ask for a small extension from SRM, but if its anymore
than 1 or 2 days, we'll probably just have to postpone for the next
point release.

fyi, I've been testing this patch on a machine of mine that I thought
was hitting #517449. It seems to be running as stable as
before. Though the patch didn't solve the issue I was seeing (I now
think is unrelated), I haven't had time to dig deeper. Just a data
point - I haven't tried testing for regressions.

All of those fixes look like goodness for a stable update - please
feel free to commit to the lenny branch (or I can do it, if you won't
have time before release).
