I think You are wrong for close bug

1. Driver wants absent binary file with '.dat' extencion in /etc
directory (see FHS
http://www.pathname.com/fhs/pub/fhs-2.3.html#ETCHOSTSPECIFICSYSTEMCONFIGURATION)
