dpkg --compare-versions 2.6.29-rc8-amd64 '>' 2.6.29-1-amd64 && echo true
true
grrr
so now it assumes that 2.6.29-rc8 is newer then 2.6.29,
guess that is just an issue for dev boxes having such $(uname -r) versions
lying around but still enerving.
