I dont know if that messages show an error.

Maybe, I cant probe on other systems.

I will try it as soon as #551286 be fixed.

However, dvgrab starts play and then stop the camera, so dvgrab
comunicates with camera (using avc). Besides, with lib1394-8 installed
I get a video with several gaps per second, but get "something".
Firewire is a serial tecnology, dont exist some wires for control
(avc) and other for data, all uses the same wires. If the software
send avc (using libavc) commands to camera and it answers, and it get
complete frames from camera, using lib1394-8 instead of lib1398-11,
but not continue video, I think the problem is not from the kernel.
So, are you sure the problem is not related to lib1394 or dvgrab?

However, I will try to use the newer kernel.
