Do you mean that 2.6.26-11 worked for you?

There were some bug fixes to sata_mv in stable update 5.0.1 that might
fix this.  Have you tried that?

If this problem is not fixed, please send a kernel log (dmesg output)
from immediately after booting.  If you cannot boot the system then
please:

1. At the GRUB prompt, stop and edit the boot commands
2. On the kernel command line, remove 'quiet' if present and add 'vga=6'
3. Continue booting
4. Take a photograph of the screen once the boot process stops
