Bug#545449: linux-image-2.6.26-2-686: Error inserting ebt_ulog: Cannot allocate memory

Package: linux-image-2.6.26-2-686
Version: 2.6.26-17lenny2
Severity: normal

ebt_ulog kernel module fails to load with the following error:

mull:~# modprobe ebt_ulog
FATAL: Error inserting ebt_ulog (/lib/modules/2.6.26-2-686/kernel/net/bridge/netfilter/ebt_ulog.ko): Cannot allocate memory

I also tried with various values of the nlbufsiz parameter, down to 0, but with no results

mull:~# strace modprobe ebt_ulog
...

same problem reported in
https://lists.linux-foundation.org/pipermail/bugme-new/2005-May/012248.html

context: I was trying to setup a netflow probe with fprobe-ulog, for traffic port-mirrored by a switch, but mirrored traffic was not captured by
iptables as it was directed to a foreign mac address.
