Package: squashfs-modules-2.6-686
Version: 2.6.30-1-686
Dear Maintainer or Developer!
When I trying installing for example the squashfs-modules-2.6-686 or squashfs-modules-2.6-486 packages in Debian Squeeze or Sid, this packages are not present and I see following message:
Reading package lists...
Building dependency tree...
Reading state information...
Package squashfs-modules-2.6-686 is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source

What happen this packages? When I try install this packages with Debian Lenny, the installation is succesfuly completed. This is important me, because for example the live-helper package impossible to do the Debian Squeeze or Sid live cd if this packages are missing.

Thanks,

Attila Hammer

squashfs is included in the linux kernel as of version 2.6.29. you do
not need to install additional packages anymore.

live-helper takes sets the default according to what distribution you
are building automatically.

either:

to have it fixed automatically, you need for building sid live-helper
1.0.5 or newer, for squeeze, you need a git snapshot of live-helper from
http://live.debian.net/debian.

or:

you can fix it manually by calling lh_config --linux-packages
'linux-image-2.6 aufs-modules-2.6' in your config tree in order to
update it.

Daniel
