Not that I'm aware of.  Sometimes I have to restart the computer but I tend to 
have long uptimes (for a laptop), up to a month or two, typically suspending to 
RAM every night or several times a day.

I don't use KDE4 effects though, they make the UI feel sluggish, but I fire up 
OpenGL apps, videos with xine or mplayer without noticing lock-ups.

$ uptime
 19:50:44 up 8 days,  1:30,  2 users,  load average: 0.31, 0.16, 0.09
