Package: kernel
Version: 2.6.18-3-686
Severity: important

I'm triying to use a Mustek Paragon 600 II CD connected to an Adaptec aha1542.
But when I try scanimage -L I have a kernel panic.

Bad segment list supplied to aha1542.c (1,0)
0: c0318000 5
cptr c0342e00: cc cc cc cc cc cc cc cc cc cc cc cc cc cc cc cc cc cc
<0>Kernel panic - not syncing: Foooooooood fight!

I found lot a informations on an old bug related to buffersize and sg module. But this one seems to be corrected for ages and
none of the workaround described work for me.
eg. http://sg.torque.net/sg/faq.html#%5B2.3%5D%20%20Foooooooood%20fight%20panic%20from%20aha1542
or http://www.meier-geinitz.de/sane/mustek-backend/#linux_scsi

My /etc/saned.conf/mustek.conf has thoses lines :
option strip-height 1
option disable-double-buffering
/dev/sg0
option buffersize 32

dmesg gives me :
SCSI subsystem initialized
Configuring Adaptec (SCSI-ID 7) at IO:230, IRQ 11, DMA priority 5
scsi0 : Adaptec 1542
isa bounce pool size: 16 pages
  Vendor: SCANNER Model: Rev: 2.03
Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 01 CCS
scsi 0:0:1:0: Attached scsi generic sg0 type 6
(also my tape reader is listed)

If I do a export SANE_SG_BUFFERSIZE=32768 before the scanimage -L, the result is the same.

Ok, closing the bug, then.
