The hibernate script gets as far as "s2disk: Snapshotting system" and then hangs indefinitely.

I have tried starting in recovery (single) mode, bringing down the ethernet link and unloading all the unused kernel modules but still the same problem, so it's not X or nvidia.

I am continuing to use (stock) 2.6.29-2-686 for now as a work around.

I don't have nvidia installed, and my laptop can hibernate but can't wake up. I too submitted a bug report and I see the same with this kernel on my workstation.
