2.6.26-2 is not the version, it is the ABI name:

Yes, this is an out-of-date version of the 2.6.26-2-amd64
image. Current is 2.6.26-17lenny1 (you have 2.6.26-15).

It is likely that this was fixed in 2.6.26-16.
