Package: linux-image
Version: 2.6.18-4-686

After upgrading from Sarge to Etch, my system fails to boot with the new kernel
(2.6.18-4-686)
However, it still boots with the old kernel from Sarge (2.6.8-2).

The system hangs when trying to configure the network interfaces.
(I have two network interfaces: lo and eth0, eth0 as you can see below is a Davicom
DM9102 card using the dmfe driver, it is configured to use the local IP 192.168.0.2)

Here is the full text of dmesg when booting

Disabling IRQ #10

in the kernel messages, What's the meaning of this..?
(What is the option irqpool ?)
This didn't happend with the old 2.6.8 kernel.

May be this problem is something related to the change from from devfs to udev?

Please ask me for any information that could be useful to diagnose the problem.

Any help will be much apreciated,
best regards

Pablo De Nápoli
