The /proc/acpi/alarm interface was obsoleted. The new interface for ACPI
wakeup is /sys/class/rtc/rtcX/wakealarm, but it requires enabling a
kernel config option.

This problem is hitting other distro as well:

I will keep my MythTV DVR on 2.6.21 in the meantime.
