Package: linux-image-2.6.29-2-686
Version: 2.6.29-5
Severity: important

Hello,

It's known that GSPCA module has became part of linux kernel since 2.6.27.

My webcam used to work in 2.6.26 kernel using these commands:

#rmmod zc0301
#rmmod gspca
#modprobe gspca

But with newer kernels my webcam doesn't work anymore.

# lsusb
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0ac8:303b Z-Star Microelectronics Corp. ZC0303 WebCam

Same bug in Ubuntu: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/292086

Thanks a lot!

This should have been fixed upstream by the following commit, which was
merged in 2.6.30:
http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=commit;h=ef6bc5aec2d8bd53dcc851a5cd2fc8e918db239b

Please reopen the bug if the error persists.

Cheers,
        Moritz
