Bug#507728: [linux-image-2.6.26-1-686] Similar problem, and temp fix

Package: linux-image-2.6.26-1-686
Version: 2.6.26-13

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
I see similar problem, when connecting my SE phone first time, everything is working.
But second time i connect the phone is not seen by my app. following time it is often not even noted in the logs.
And i see the

[sdc] Write Protect is off
[sdc] READ CAPACITY failed
[sdc] Result: hostbyte=DID_ERROR driverbyte=DRIVER_OK,SUGGEST_OK

stuff filling up the logs

This might be two problem as the log filling is not happening every time.

A temporary fix is to do this:
rmmod -v ehci_hcd ; modprobe -v ehci_hcd

(note: do this as oneliner, if you have usb keyboard)

now the phone is detected

after remmod/insmod i get following in log

afterwards when i connect it only says
Jul 3 11:12:43 dustpuppy kernel: [196034.829065] usb 2-6.3: new full speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 6

With address++ every time.

I am using the phone from within vmware, so if this is normal behavior of the driver, it might be a bug in vmware that it does no see the phone second time.
